Gone to the dogs?!!

Sunday November 1 saw the team head off to Waipukarau for Central Hawkes Bay Council's Doggy Day Out event. This was a great opportunity to talk with the public about keeping wildlife safe from their dogs and their dogs safe from wildlife!

We had loads of fun talking with the kids and giving them colouring-in sheets to take away, selling duck food, selling tickets in a small raffle we had and generally raising awareness of what people can do when they find an injured/orphaned bird and other wildlife.

The winner of our raffle was Teena Bull who came and picked up her prize at our next event......

We got to meet some cutie little puppers at the same time :)
